Waves was born from a near-miss incident in the shallow waters off the Florida coast. Our founder, an experienced captain with over 20 years on the water, realized that even official charts couldn't capture the constantly changing underwater conditions that every boater faces.

After watching countless boaters run aground in areas that appeared safe on traditional charts, we knew there had to be a better way. The solution wasn't more static charts – it was harnessing the collective knowledge and real-time experiences of the boating community.
