One binary. Three tiers.
The Free binary does not contain Pro code. Compile-time feature exclusion, not runtime gating. If the code does not exist in the binary, it cannot be bypassed.

Why $29.
$29/month per machine is the expense-report tier. A developer buys it on a credit card without procurement involvement. It is cheaper than most editor subscriptions. The barrier to purchase is effectively zero for anyone who finds the free tier limiting.
Enterprise pricing is custom because fleet governance is a different conversation. When five developers at a company are on Pro, the Enterprise discussion starts naturally — centralized policy push, cross-agent correlation, compliance evidence export. That conversation justifies custom pricing because it reduces the headcount a platform team would otherwise need to build the same thing internally.
